YBS Commercial Mortgages expands business development team – The Intermediary

YBS Commercial Mortgages has expanded its business development team with the addition of three new members, enhancing its engagement with brokers and extending its reach in the market.

Chris Butler and Barry Dillon have moved from their previous roles as relationship directors within the company, and Thomas Mac Donnchadha Hill joins from Accord Mortgages where he was a business development manager for a decade.

These new hires are part of YBS Commercial’s strategy to ensure a fast response to new lending inquiries and to provide personalised support across its product range. The team’s commitment is to build on their service excellence, leveraging their collective 57 years of experience in financial services and commercial banking.

Working alongside existing team members, including Mike Davies, head of business development, and business development managers Chris Gagg, Andrea Cotton, and Christian Gooderson, the new recruits will help maintain close relationships with broker partners across England and Wales.

Butler said: “I am looking forward to interacting with brokers and customers as well as key internal stakeholders to ensure the application journey runs as smoothly as possible, providing the best possible service from enquiry to completion.”

Dillon added: “I am really excited to be given this opportunity. With our highly experienced and growing business development team, we have the breadth and scale to ensure that our borrowers receive a best-in-class service at every touchpoint of their journey with us.”

Thomas Mac Donnchadha Hill also commented on his transition: “I am really excited to further my experience within commercial property finance and utilise my previous skills and contacts within both the sector and the business, to help me to best support our brokers and customers.”

Davies added: “We’re so excited to be growing our business development team to support growth, expand our reach in the market, increase levels of broker engagement and better support colleagues. This year we’re aiming to grow our broker panel.

“This recruitment drive supports our ambition in this space, and I am confident that our enhanced team will deliver the excellent levels of support our broker partners have come to expect from us, as an award-winning commercial lender.”
